The Swine Flu has managed to hit home this week. :'( Jazz is down with it and the parental figures are too...... Fingers crossed! :)

Kittens.......

So, Jasper and I got a new kitten for the new apartment.....:) yes, we have our own place now! It is very exciting stuff........:) I am crying as I write this because Jazz made me watch The Patriot! which, I sadly must admit, is an AMAZING movie but I just cannot stop crying.........Jazz and my brother are laughing at me at the moment. What happened to the good old days where a women was allowed to weep at an emotional movie? And they are justifying there laughs because I keep ducking my head into Jaspers chest and asking if it's over yet....then I ask when is going to happen, if Mel Gibson dies or if he marries the sister-in-law, OH MY GOD is this movie intense......... :| Almost the end of it tho - thank god!

Dear Lord, I sure do know how to sidetrack myself, right the kitten. It is 

black with green eyes and is called Kingston. We have had it for a couple of 

weeks now. When we first got it they told us it was a male, but the vet told us

otherwise, I wanted to change the name to Lola seeing as she was a female but

jasper and my brother, Sam, didn't agree totally......(understatement!)

Songkran!!

Okay, so the one named father called us and just as we our ordered room service arrived! We met him on this street lined with closed strip clubs and as we waited and wondered about wether or not to go into the mass of people that were shooting water pistols at any random person, a drunk man with talcum powder smudged into his cheeks and in his hair said " You know you just have to do it! GO!" and then his words just slurred and he stumbled off...  and I came back cold and dripping water through the hallway!

There have been problems and violence in Bangkok but to all of my friends who seem to be worried,  DON'T BE! They keep saying the violence is in the Center of the City but, in all fairness, it's quite far out on Victory Monument. 

And besides they aren't saying anythings about Songkran. This is the holiday for the Thai people. The Water Festival! It's usually fun but my mother didn't want to go out so I am staying with her in the hotel room! We let the boys go out and have their fun but we want to know whether it's any sort of violent,like usual, before we take one single step outside! :) fussy, yes I know but you don't exactly want to break $700 worth of Glasses - their my mother's and she is BLIND without them so... better safe then sorry!

This is a couple of the people in my friends fire show on Koh Sumet! WE ARE ON HOLIDAY! 

 I used to live in Thailand when I was a kid and when my parents said they were going back they asked if I wanted to go to see all of my old friends , I couldn't possibly say no now could I! :| 

So, I brought Jasper with me! :) and he ha gotten to know all of my friends which I am so happy about! 

Right the picture, there is a spectacular bar/hotel/restaurant on the beach called Ploy Thalay- exquisite! well they have a live band and a fire show afterwards! My parents have a house on the island so I know a few of the locals and I was so surprised to see the people I grew up with spin fire on both sides of a stick! :/ SO SCARY! especially when my friend Chin accidentally dropped it and it hit the back of his shoulder! he is never going to get rid of that mark! Well not soon anyway.........It was an amazing show mind!
